The Philippine School, Abu Dhabi

The Philippine School is a learning institution dedicated to providing affordable education within a God-centered environment. It aims to be a leader in academic excellence and values formation, emphasizing the development of the whole child through respect, self-discipline, nationalism, and tolerance.

The curriculum is divided into four phases: Phase 1 (KG 1-2) follows standards for Filipino children focusing on socio-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Phase 2 (Grades 1-6) and Phase 3 (Grades 7-10) include core subjects such as Filipino, English, Science, Mathematics, UAE Social Studies, Araling Panlipunan, Robotics, and ICT. Phase 4 (Grades 11-12) adheres to the Philippine Department of Education’s Senior High School curriculum, incorporating core, applied, and specialized track subjects alongside UAE-mandated Moral Education.

The school maintains an inclusion policy and provides support for students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). It employs specific behavior management and teaching strategies to foster an inclusive environment and support the growth and confidence of every learner.

The school accepts applications for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Prospective families must submit documentation including birth certificates, immunization records, Emirates IDs, and previous academic transcripts, with specific requirements for students transferring from non-Philippine curriculum schools. All applicants are subject to an assessment process, and the school maintains specific policies for students with special educational needs.

The school operates on a schedule that includes regular academic terms and a variety of monthly events aligned with the curriculum. Office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 2:50 PM, and Friday and Sunday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Students participate in a range of activities, including the Supreme Student Council (SSC), field trips, and educational tours. The school also engages in community-linked events, such as business challenges, technology hackathons, and cultural celebrations like Emirati Women’s Day.
