Bateen World Academy aims to provide an outstanding, holistic international education within a creative, safe, and inclusive environment. Programmes

The academic programme is based on an adapted English National Curriculum, progressing through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the primary school and I/GCSE in the middle school. The senior school curriculum culminates in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). The curriculum also incorporates mandatory lessons in Arabic Language, UAE Social Studies, Moral Education, and Islamic Studies.

Outcomes

Students consistently outperform UK and global counterparts in GCSE and IBDP results. In 2023, 50% of Year 13 students were accepted into the world's top 200 universities, with 20% securing places at the top 50. The school has achieved an 'Outstanding' rating from the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

Admissions

Bateen World Academy is a non-selective, co-educational day school welcoming students from over 60 nationalities. Prospective families are invited to contact the admissions office to arrange a tour and explore the campus. The enrolment process is open for students from FS1 through to Year 13.

Calendar

The academic year typically begins in late August and concludes in early July. The calendar includes a winter break in December, a spring break in March, and various public holidays such as Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, and the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad. Half-term breaks are scheduled throughout the year to provide students with periods of rest.

About the campus

Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, the campus features state-of-the-art facilities including an indoor 25-metre swimming pool, a 3G AstroTurf sports field, and a multipurpose auditorium. Specialist learning areas include ICT labs, art and ceramics rooms, dance and drama studios, and science laboratories. The school also provides a full-time nurse to support student health and wellbeing.

Co-curriculars
