VIS offers a rigorous American international curriculum across four divisions: Early Childhood (Pre-K–KG2), Elementary (Grades 1–5), Middle School (Grades 6–8), and High School (Grades 9–12). The academic program is complemented by mandatory subjects including Arabic language, Qatari history, and Islamic studies, with additional support provided through services like Star Math/Reading and an advisory program.

VIS is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) as of March 2023 and holds the National Identity Enhancement Accreditation from the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The school focuses on preparing students for global success while honoring their heritage, aligning its educational standards with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Vision International School (VIS) serves students from Pre-K through Grade 12. The admissions process is supported by a dedicated team that manages inquiries, documentation, and assessments, and families are encouraged to contact the school to arrange a private tour. As of October 2025, the school enrolled 1,249 students, with classes co-educational from Pre-K through KG2 and organized by gender from Grade 1 through Grade 12.

The school operates on an academic calendar that includes standard school terms and holidays, with the 2025-2026 academic year currently in progress. The school day runs from 7:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., with office hours from 6:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Located in Al Wakra, the purpose-built campus features a dedicated early childhood section, separate elementary sections for boys and girls (Grades 1–5), and separate middle and high school sections for boys and girls (Grades 6–12). Campus facilities include a full-size gymnasium, a swimming pool, two cafeterias, well-equipped libraries, and specialized labs for art, science, and music. The grounds also provide shaded and air-conditioned play areas for student comfort.

VIS offers a vibrant After School Activities program for students from Grade 1 and above, designed to foster growth beyond the classroom. The school also hosts various events throughout the year, such as national celebrations and parent-engagement activities like 'Donuts with Dad' and 'Muffins with Mom'.
