Beaumont School

Founded in 1850 in the Ursuline tradition, the school educates women for life, leadership, and service based on the values of St. Angela Merici. It emphasizes a holistic, faith-based education that encourages students to be compassionate change-makers and advocates. The school maintains an all-girls environment, which research suggests empowers young women to excel as students and leaders.

As an IB World School, Beaumont offers the IB Diploma Programme and 22 IB classes that students can take a la carte. The curriculum is college-preparatory and includes Honors and AP courses, with all faculty trained in IB pedagogy. Specialized academic pathways include a four-year studio art program, a fashion design program, and comprehensive college counseling.

Beaumont reports a 100% graduation and college acceptance rate. Students frequently earn national recognition, including honors in the National Merit Scholarship Program and the National African American Recognition Program. The Merici Center for Success provides an integrated four-year program of educational support for students with learning differences. Students meet daily with intervention specialists to develop skills in executive functioning, organization, and study habits. The school also offers group guidance, college counseling, and an after-school study skills group for qualified students.

The school offers need-based financial aid and merit-based scholarships, and it accepts Ohio state scholarships including EdChoice, EdChoice Expansion, the Cleveland Scholarship, and the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship. Families must complete a FACTS Grant & Aid application to be considered for financial assistance.

The school operates on a year-round cycle that includes summer school and various enrichment programs. Summer offerings for students in grades K-8 include soccer and lacrosse camps, as well as a "Fashion Foodies" program for students in grades 6-8. The academic year is supported by a structured calendar of events, including athletic seasons, school dances, and service opportunities.

The 21-acre campus features a 140,000-square-foot building that includes the St. Angela Chapel, the Sister Margaret Ann Kelley Dining Hall, and the Beaumont Bistro. Academic and creative spaces include a STEM wing with modern labs and maker spaces, an art wing with light-filled studios, a fashion studio, a music studio, and a fully equipped theater. Athletic facilities include a gymnasium and the championship-caliber St. Angela Merici turf field, while the grounds feature a courtyard and a pond known as Lake Garda.

Students participate in over 30 clubs, seven national honor societies, and a renowned theater and music program. Athletics include 10 varsity sports: basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track & field, and volleyball. Additionally, students engage in robotics, mock trial, and various service-oriented leadership activities.
