Kardinia International College

Guided by the motto “Wisdom leads to respect and friendship,” the college strives to be a symbol of hope and a place of quality learning. It employs the "SPICE" model—focusing on Social, Personal, Intercultural, Critical/Creative, and Ethical development—to prepare students to be leaders and productive participants in the 21st century. The school is non-denominational and emphasizes international understanding and community sustainability.

The college offers an all-through education, beginning with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students in Kindergarten through Year 6. Students in Years 7–10 follow a vertical curriculum based on the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority guidelines. In the senior years (11–12), students may choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).

The college prioritises individual learning and student wellbeing, aiming to maintain an inclusive environment where every student is valued. It encourages a growth mindset, focusing on learning outcomes beyond traditional grades to support the development of balanced and responsible individuals.

The college accepts applications from both local and international students. The admissions process includes an enrolment policy, and prospective families are encouraged to book a college tour or view the prospectus, which is available in multiple languages. Scholarships are also available for eligible students.

The academic year typically runs from late January to early December, divided into four terms. Staff generally commence a few days before students, with specific start dates for Year 7 students and the remainder of the student body at the beginning of Term 1.

The college is situated on 52 acres in Bell Post Hill, Geelong, featuring extensive lawns, sporting ovals, and gardens. In addition to the main campus, the college operates the Kardinia Grove Year 5 Campus, a purpose-built facility located on approximately 30 acres of farmland. The school provides first-class facilities to support its diverse academic and co-curricular programmes.

The co-curricular programme includes a wide range of activities across creativity, sport, and service. Creative offerings feature dance, performing arts, and various music ensembles such as concert bands, string quartets, and choirs. Sports are played through the Geelong Independent Schools Sports Association (GISSA) and include options like rowing, surfing, fencing, judo, and team sports, while service clubs include debating, chess, drone club, and social justice committees.
