Chester International School admits students into Year 10 and Year 12 for a September start. The application process involves attending events to tour the building and meet staff and students, followed by an online application. For the 2026/2027 academic year, applications open on 1st September 2025, with a closing date of 31st October 2025. In-year transfers are managed through an expression of interest form, after which the school contacts the applicant to discuss the process.

The school operates on a standard academic year, with specific periods designated for assessments and enrichment. The calendar includes Year 10 and 12 summer mock examinations, followed by a dedicated 'WEX and Experience Week' in July. Academic mentor meetings are also scheduled to support student progress.

The school is housed in a state-of-the-art facility located at the Queen’s Park Campus in Handbridge, Chester.
