Colegio Fontanar

Colegio Fontanar is a private, Catholic institution for girls that emphasizes personalized education and human formation. Inspired by the Prelatura of the Opus Dei, the school seeks to inspire families and promote the search for holiness through professional work and daily life, with a mission to help students become the best version of themselves.

The academic structure includes Elementary School (grades 1-5), Junior High (grade 6 through 2nd year of secondary), and High School (3rd year of secondary through 3rd year of preparatory). The curriculum features a transdisciplinary STEM approach, bilingual education starting in 1st grade with preparation for Cambridge certifications (FCE, CAE), and subjects taught entirely in English such as History, Biology, and Science. Students also utilize the Brightspace platform for project management, communication with teachers, and academic reinforcement.

The school utilizes a preceptoría system, where students receive educational advising from experts trained in the DAIP (Desarrollo Armónico de la Identidad Personal) Master’s program. This system focuses on building the student's life project and personal identity through the development of 16 specific virtues or educational areas.

The admissions process requires families to schedule an informative interview, which can be conducted either in person or virtually. The school operates two campuses in Querétaro: the Vista Real campus located in the Vista Real subdivision and the newer Campanario campus. Facilities include specialized learning environments such as a Maker Space for designing and creating, a Science Lab for experimentation, and a Math Lab equipped with materials to facilitate mathematical comprehension.
