The institution operates three distinct schools: the Continental International School (CIS), which follows the British National Curriculum integrated with Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements; the Continental Language School (CLS), which delivers the Egyptian National Curriculum in English (with Arabic, Religion, and Social Studies taught in Arabic); and the Continental School of Cairo (CSC), which provides specialized British-based education for students with SEND. Early years education begins at age 3.6, and the senior levels offer pathways leading to university preparation and vocational training.

Graduates of the school have historically progressed to prestigious universities worldwide, while students from the special education division often transition into mainstream schooling, higher education, or the workforce. The Continental School of Cairo (CSC) operates as a specialized division for children with learning difficulties and SEND. As a British special education school, it provides tailored educational programmes that follow the British National Curriculum, supplemented by vocational training to build practical skills and prepare students for further education or employment.

Applications are processed in order of receipt, with priority given to siblings of current students, former students of the special education division, and those with strong English proficiency. The process includes a formal application, an interview with the Principal, and a student assessment in English, Mathematics, and Arabic (where applicable). Prospective students must provide previous school records, birth certificates, and medical forms to complete enrollment.

The school operates on an academic year with specific term dates, such as the conclusion of the lower school term in mid-May. Families are advised to contact the admissions office directly for the most current academic calendar and fee schedules.

Located on a 12,000-square-meter campus in El Obour City, the school features fully air-conditioned classrooms and modern infrastructure. Specialized facilities include swimming pools, sports grounds, science laboratories, computer suites, libraries, and dedicated rooms for music and arts and crafts. The campus is supported by a fleet of air-conditioned buses for student and staff transportation.
