International School of Curitiba

The school is a progressive, non-profit institution guided by the vision of "Teaching for the Future" and the mission "Everyone Learning Everywhere." It focuses on developing essential skills including communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, character, and citizenship, while fostering a multicultural environment that encourages student autonomy and agency.

The school offers a comprehensive academic program divided into the Early Childhood Center (ages 2–5), Elementary School (Grades 1–5), Middle School (Grades 6–8), and High School (Grades 9–12). The Early Childhood program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, while the High School curriculum includes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma for students in Grades 11 and 12.

The school is accredited by the Secretaria de Educação do Estado do Paraná, the Council of International Schools (CIS), and the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC). It is an IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma for students in Grades 11 and 12, and graduates receive university acceptances worldwide.

The school emphasizes student well-being and personalized support across all grade levels. Counseling services are available to assist students, and the school utilizes adaptive assessments like MAP Growth to monitor learning progression and ensure academic standards.

The school welcomes students year-round and manages the process through an online platform. Prospective families are encouraged to submit an inquiry form, schedule a campus visit, and complete the registration process with the support of the admissions team. Placement is determined by age and previous schooling, with specific requirements for the Early Childhood Center.

The school operates on an international calendar running from August to June. It also offers a two-week winter program during the July break for students aged 2 to 10.

The campus is located in Santa Felicidade, Curitiba, and includes specialized spaces such as high school science labs and interactive technology areas. The school is currently developing a new, intentionally designed building for the Elementary School.

The school provides a range of afterschool activities, sports, and arts programs designed to complement the academic experience. These opportunities are intended to foster student agency, collaboration, and emotional support outside of the classroom.
