Datus International School is rooted in an inclusive ethos that seeks to nurture a lifelong love of learning and prepare students to be independently thinking, globally conscious, and innovative individuals. Its guiding values, known as IIPATH, stand for Innovation, Integrity, Purposefulness, Accountability, Trust, and Hard Work, underpinned by the ICEE principle. The school aims to build a culture based on internationalism while strengthening self-belief, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

The school offers a structured academic pathway starting with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged 3 to 11, which focuses on inquiry-based learning across six transdisciplinary themes. For secondary students, the school provides the Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE programmes, followed by Advanced Level studies for students aged 16 to 18. Instruction is primarily in English, with additional language offerings including French, Mandarin, and Arabic Studies.

Applications are accepted throughout the year, with an application window typically running from January to August. The process involves submitting an application form, followed by entrance assessments scheduled on a weekly basis. Families receive notification of their application status within 10 business days, and an orientation programme is provided before the start of the term.

The school operates on a trimester system with terms running from August to December, January to March, and April to July. The daily schedule for students is from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The academic year includes one-week midterm breaks and end-of-term breaks lasting between four and eight weeks.

The school operates across four campuses located in Bubiashie, Tema, Kasoa, and Dansoman. Facilities across the school include science laboratories, sports courts, arts studios, and a 600-seat auditorium. Each campus provides dedicated classrooms and student activity spaces designed to support a focused learning environment.
