The school is authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (IBDP). The PYP focuses on transdisciplinary themes and inquiry-based learning, while the MYP (Grades 6-10) emphasizes conceptual understanding across eight subject groups, including a personal project. The IBDP (Grades 11-12) provides a two-year university preparatory curriculum featuring Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS).

Graduates of Qatar Academy Sidra have received offers and scholarships from universities in Qatar, the USA, the UK, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Students may graduate with an IB Diploma, an IB Bilingual Diploma, or a QA Sidra High School Diploma, with pathways designed to meet Qatar Ministry of Education equivalency requirements. The school is also a candidate for the IB Career-related Programme (CP).

Qatar Academy Sidra employs an inclusive learning model, providing support services for students with learning differences, as well as high-performing and gifted learners. The school utilizes Individualized Learning Plans (ILP), Individualized Accommodations Plans (IAP), and Individualized Advanced Learning Plans (IALP) to tailor support based on student needs. EAL (English as an Additional Language) support is also available for students who require it.

Qatar Academy Sidra operates on a rolling admissions basis for students of any nationality who are citizens or permanent residents of Qatar. The application process requires submission of academic records, standardized test data (MAP or ISA), and health documentation, followed by a screening assessment and an interview with the school counselor and division principal. Admission decisions are based on the school's capacity to meet the student's specific educational needs.

The school operates on a Northern Hemisphere academic calendar, typically running from September to June. Daily school hours are 7:00 am to 12:00 pm for Pre-3 and Pre-4 students, while KG through Grade 12 students attend from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm (with a 1:00 pm dismissal on Tuesdays).

The school is located in Education City and provides a learning environment that includes a library/learning hub. Students in the primary school have the option of school-provided snacks and lunches, while secondary students may purchase snacks and hot buffet meals; the campus maintains a strict no-nut policy. Class sizes are capped at a maximum of 25 students, though current temporary campus arrangements limit class sizes to 22.

The school offers a co-curricular programme designed to support student wellbeing and holistic development.
