The school aims to nurture confident, considerate, and intellectually curious young women through a "Fearlessly Female" ethos. The school provides a continuous educational pathway from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Sixth Form. The curriculum includes a wide range of subjects at GCSE and A-Level, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Further Maths, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Geography, History, Latin, Classical Civilisation, Modern Foreign Languages, Art and Design, Drama, and Music. Sixth Form students also undertake the Extended Project, and the school offers specialised training and laboratory work starting from Year 4.

Students achieve strong academic results and are prepared for life beyond school, with leavers progressing to a variety of destinations. The school maintains a high value-added score and encourages students to develop personal values, social skills, and the confidence to succeed in a changing world. Alumnae are supported by the Laurels Association, a community of former students.

The school accepts registrations for entry from Nursery through to Sixth Form. The admissions process is managed via an online portal where families can track applications, apply for scholarships, and complete necessary documentation. A non-refundable registration fee is required, alongside an acceptance deposit that is returned upon the student's departure. Prospective families are encouraged to attend open days or arrange personal tours to experience the school environment.

The school operates on a three-term academic year (Autumn, Spring, and Summer). Terms typically begin in early September, January, and April, with half-term breaks scheduled in October, February, and May/June. The academic year concludes in early July. Inset days for staff training are scheduled at the start of each term.

The 14-acre campus features modern classrooms, science laboratories, ICT suites, and a central Learning Hub for independent study and collaboration. Sports facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, a large gym, a fitness suite, an all-weather floodlit astro surface, an athletics track, a cricket square, and various playing fields. Creative facilities include three art studios, a graphic design studio, a purpose-built Music School with iMacs and professional software, a large Drama Studio, and the Octagon, a 600-seat theatre. Food and nutrition areas are equipped with modern culinary and CAD/CAM textiles technology.

The school offers a broad co-curricular programme including academic enrichment, creative arts, performing arts, and outdoor adventure. Students participate in sports such as hockey, netball, tennis, cricket, and football, with access to a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, and fitness suite. Clubs and societies are available, and students have opportunities for trips, excursions, and leadership roles, such as those within the Sixth Form leadership team.
