The school is committed to an inquiry-based, play-centred approach that views the learning environment as the 'third teacher.' The school offers a Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) programme for two-year-olds, which follows a Pre-PYP curriculum focusing on well-being, belonging, communication, contribution, and exploration. For children aged 3 to 5 (K1 and K2), the school provides the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), which is transdisciplinary and inquiry-based. The curriculum covers language (English and Mandarin), mathematics, science, social studies, personal, social and physical education, and the arts.

The school aims to foster knowledgeable, caring, and internationally-minded individuals who are prepared to be responsible global citizens. Graduates are encouraged to become lifelong learners who possess the critical thinking and research skills necessary to contribute positively to their communities.

The school prioritises social-emotional intelligence development and provides a nurturing environment for all students. The Learning Coordinator works closely with students, families, and teaching teams to ensure learning is personalised, with a specific focus on supporting positive growth in social and emotional development.

Admissions are managed centrally through the English Schools Foundation (ESF). The school hosts various information sessions, school tours, and open days throughout the year for prospective families. No screening process is involved for the Pre-Kindergarten programme, and priority for ESF kindergarten places is given to Pre-K graduates.

The school operates throughout the year, with the application period for the Pre-Kindergarten programme running from 1 to 30 April. The current campus is scheduled to close in June 2026, with a planned relocation to the new ESF Renaissance College Kindergarten at GO PARK 2, Sai Sha.

The purpose-built campus in Tung Chung features eight classrooms, a school library with English and Mandarin resources, an atelier for creative projects, and a school kitchen used for both cooking and science inquiries. Physical play is supported by a well-resourced indoor play area, a purpose-built indoor sand pit, and an outdoor garden equipped with a mud kitchen. The school is also within walking distance of local community parks and spaces.

The school offers an enriching community programme that includes a thriving volunteer scheme. Parents and carers are invited to participate as volunteers in various capacities, such as mystery readers, storytellers, cooking assistants, and outdoor learning helpers. Additionally, the school hosts regular workshops and events to engage the wider community.
