Franklin Academy - Pembroke Pines K-8

Franklin Academy is a public charter school organization that utilizes a random lottery system for student admission. Families must submit an application for each child, and preference is given to applicants with siblings already enrolled in the school. To be eligible for kindergarten or 1st grade, children must meet specific age requirements by September 1 of the entry year, and all applicants must reside in the same county as the campus to which they are applying.

Franklin Academy operates six campuses across Broward and Palm Beach Counties, including locations in Boynton Beach, Cooper City, Palm Beach Gardens, Pembroke Pines, and Sunrise. The campuses are equipped with classrooms featuring interactive projectors and whiteboards, computer labs, and mobile technology carts. Facilities also support a variety of activities, including dedicated spaces for physical education, music, and visual arts.

The school offers an optional enrichment program that includes chess, which is available as an after-school club or through a competitive tournament team. Students also participate in physical education, visual arts, and music, with opportunities for performance and creative expression. Additionally, each of the six campuses provides an after-school program that runs from dismissal until 6:00 pm.
