Gjøvikregionen International School (GIS) is committed to an IB-based philosophy that emphasizes inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and open-mindedness. The school is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Grades 1-6 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 7-10. Tuition fees include school supplies, with a 25% discount applied to the second and subsequent children from the same family.

The school operates a rolling admissions policy, allowing applications throughout the academic year provided space is available. Classes are capped at 20 students, and the application process for Grade 1 begins on 1 May of the preceding year with a deadline of 31 May.
