The school’s mission is to teach students to think creatively, act responsibly, and build community. It follows the agreements of the Peace Learning Center to ensure a positive, inclusive environment where every student feels respected and accepted. The educational approach emphasizes inquiry-based learning, the mastery of concepts over rote memorization, and the development of a global perspective.

The school offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, including the Primary Years Program (PYP) for grades K-5 and the Middle Years Program (MYP) for grades 6-8. The academic program includes core subjects alongside specialist instruction in Spanish, music, art, technology, library, and physical education. Early childhood education is provided for children starting at age 2, with programs ranging from preschool through junior kindergarten.

Graduates of the middle school program gain admission to prestigious area high schools. Students emerge from the school with the confidence to lead and learn, possessing strong character alongside academic skills in math and science. The curriculum prepares students to be globally minded, well-rounded, and critical thinkers.

The school employs multiple teaching strategies to differentiate instruction, ensuring all students have equal access to the curriculum. Small class sizes, with a student-teacher ratio of 7:1, allow teachers to tailor education to individual learning styles and needs. Additionally, the Extended Day Care program provides a supportive environment where students can receive help with homework.

The school operates Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The daily schedule varies by division, with Early Childhood beginning at 8:30 a.m., Lower School (K-5) at 8:15 a.m., and Middle School (6-8) at 8:00 a.m. Extended Day Care is available before school starting at 7:00 a.m. and after school until 6:00 p.m.

The campus features specialized learning spaces, including a Peace Learning Center and areas for performing arts. Students have access to technology for multimedia projects and podcasts, as well as outdoor play areas such as a sand yard. The school provides hot lunch options, with facilities to accommodate students both indoors and outdoors depending on the weather.

Students participate in a variety of extracurricular opportunities, including sports, competitive clubs, and theater. The school also hosts an enrichment program and community events, such as an International Feast and talent shows. Additionally, students engage in field trips, assemblies, and guest speaker sessions.
