Creative Children International School

Creative Children International School places the learning and wellbeing of students with special educational needs at the center of its operations. It utilizes a multi-component educational system that emphasizes a play-oriented approach to develop cognitive, social, emotional, speech, language, and practical skills. The school is committed to educating the whole child rather than simply delivering a curriculum, ensuring that each student is challenged to reach their individual potential.

The school delivers international education using the "Common Core Essential Elements" curriculum, which is modified to meet the specific needs of its students. This is supplemented by the Montessori Method and the TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children) program, as well as Handwriting Without Tears. Students are organized into units—Red, Yellow, and Blue—each with specific focuses ranging from foundational physical and cognitive development to pre-vocational training and preparation for mainstream inclusion. The school utilizes the Brigance Standardized Test for students aged 7 to 18 to guide instructional planning and monitor progress through Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

The school features a comprehensive Therapy Department that provides speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and behavioral therapy. The admission procedure at Creative Children International School is conducted in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs (PADA). Prospective families are encouraged to submit an enquiry form to begin the process.

The school operates on a standard academic calendar, with the school day running from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. The academic year typically spans from September through the following spring.

The campus provides a safe and relaxed learning environment that includes a playground, a sensory room, and a sand and water play area. Academic and support facilities feature an IT/computer lab, a library, and a gymnasium. The school also maintains a dedicated clinic to support student health and wellbeing.

The school offers an after-school program designed to increase student skills, improve school attendance, and foster higher academic achievement. Students also participate in prevocational and life-skills activities, such as jewelry making, fabric painting, and basic cooking, which help enhance planning, organization, and decision-making abilities. Additionally, weekly morning assemblies are held to promote social interaction through engaging activities.
