Hillcrest School (Jos)

Hillcrest is a Christian school dedicated to educating global disciples of Christ. It emphasizes a Christ-centered academic environment that fosters intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth, aiming to prepare students to make a meaningful impact in the world.

The school follows an American curriculum organized into three divisions: Elementary School (Kindergarten–5th grade), Middle School (6th–8th grade), and High School (9th–12th grade). The High School division offers nineteen Advanced Placement (AP) courses to prepare students for higher education. The admissions process requires the submission of an application form, a non-refundable processing fee, and several documents, including school records from the previous two years, birth certificates, and medical forms. Following the submission of these materials, parents are required to attend an interview. Once the application and interview are complete, applicants are invited to sit for entrance examinations.

The school operates on a two-semester system. The academic year typically resumes in August, and the calendar includes various events such as open houses and board meetings. Sports activities are divided by semester, featuring soccer and basketball in the first semester, and track and field and volleyball in the second.

Located on a 4,300-foot-high plateau in Jos, the campus features a landscape of rocky hills and valleys. The school provides dedicated sports facilities to support its athletic programs. The campus also includes a library to support the academic curriculum.

The school offers a range of co-curricular activities, including Student Council (Stuco), the National Honor Society (NHS), and various visual and performing arts programs. Athletics are a significant part of student life, with both intramural and interscholastic sports events held throughout the year. Additionally, the school hosts a "6-hour relay" in the second term as a charity fundraiser and holds an annual sports banquet in May.
