IBN Rushd National Academy

Ibn Rushd National Academy is a mission-driven, research-based learning environment that emphasizes dual-language acquisition and development. The school follows the principle that children learn best when their mother tongue is the primary language of instruction during primary school, which serves as a foundation for becoming fully bilingual or multilingual learners. The school offers a full IB continuum, beginning with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for grades K–5, where Arabic is the primary language of instruction alongside English. In the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for grades 6–10, English becomes the main language of instruction, complemented by in-depth courses in Arabic and Islamic studies. The Diploma College for grades 11–12 exclusively offers the IB Diploma Programme, requiring students to complete the IB core, including Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and the CAS programme.

In Grade 10, students sit for external IB e-assessments, and many achieve the IB MYP bilingual certificate. Ibn Rushd National Academy is a non-selective, inclusive school that welcomes students from all backgrounds and abilities, subject to space availability. The admissions process typically begins for the academic year starting in late August, with applications due by the end of December of the preceding year. All Kindergarten applicants participate in a personal interview, while applicants from Grade 1 upwards must attend an interview and complete entrance assessments. Admission to the MYP and Diploma College programmes is contingent upon the student's ability to meet the rigorous requirements of those specific curricula.

The academic year at Ibn Rushd National Academy begins in late August. Applications for enrollment should be submitted by the end of December of the preceding year.
