Olashore International School

Founded in 1994, the school is built on the values of honesty, service, and honour. It aims to nurture each child to their full potential in a safe, serene environment, focusing on developing leaders for the 21st-century global society through an experiential approach to leadership based on service.

The school follows a dual curriculum combining the Nigerian (WAEC) and British (Cambridge International) systems, preparing students for the Basic Education Curriculum Examination, WASSCE, and IGCSE. It has also partnered with the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) programme. The academic structure is divided into five departments: Humanities, Languages, Mathematics, ICT, and Science and Vocational Education, with technology integrated through the provision of iPads for all students.

Graduates consistently achieve high results in the WASSCE and IGCSE examinations, with many earning the International Certificate of Education (ICE). Alumni frequently proceed to prestigious higher education institutions in Nigeria and abroad, with many becoming leaders in various professional fields. The school also serves as a test centre for the UTME, PSAT, SAT, and ACT.

The school employs a dedicated approach to pastoral care, child well-being, and safeguarding as core pillars of its culture. Teachers receive regular in-house and external training to facilitate 21st-century learning, and students are taught based on their individual academic ability.

Admission into Year 7 is based on success in an entrance examination covering English, mathematics, and the Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4). The school also accepts students into Years 8, 9, and 10 via a transfer examination, subject to space availability. Candidates for Year 7 must be at least 10 years old by September of the entry year.

Located on a 60-acre campus, the school features modern boarding houses, a private stadium, a swimming pool, and courts for basketball, badminton, and volleyball. It includes FIFA-standard football pitches, two indoor recreational arenas, a working farm, and a digital innovation hub. The campus is supported by a private water treatment plant and provides accommodation for staff.

The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, performing arts (dance, drama, music), and public speaking. Students participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and engage in community service projects, such as the Year 10 programme involving local town improvements. Additionally, the school hosts a Football Academy and provides various student leadership opportunities.
