Inspire Academy

The school's mission is to inspire pupils to strive toward their personal best and become thoughtful, responsible leaders who act as agents of change. Operating as a small school, it focuses on creating a unique learning environment where students can tap into their strengths and grow beyond their comfort zones. The school values dedication, initiative, spirituality, and a belief in the inherent gifts of every child.

The school offers an academic programme for students from Reception to Year 6, utilizing an integrated British and Nigerian curriculum. Subjects taught include English, Mathematics, Science (including agricultural science), Computing, Social Studies, Physical Health Education, Design & Technology, Arts, Arabic, French, Islamic Studies (Deen), and compulsory Qur'an studies for Muslim pupils. The school also integrates the Education City e-learning portal to provide interactive digital learning experiences and homework assignments.

Students in Year 6 sit for the National Common Entrance Exam in April. The school also utilizes standardized GL Assessments and CAT 4 testing in Years 3 and 5 to measure cognitive abilities, reading levels, and progress in English, Mathematics, and Science, helping to guide students toward higher academic achievement.

Special educational needs are supported by the Rahmah Unit, which includes a dedicated Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Unit. The unit aims to enhance learning opportunities, raise expectations, and develop sustainable, appropriate learning materials for students. The department is staffed by a SEN Coordinator, intervention teachers, and individual education companions who work in partnership with parents to track and monitor student progress.

Admissions at the school are ongoing. To apply, parents must purchase application forms from the reception, submit the completed forms along with the required documents, and arrange for their child to sit for placement exams. These exams assess the child's age and current abilities in English and Mathematics in relation to the British curriculum key stages, as well as their responsiveness to guided instructions and the parents' understanding of the school's curriculum.

The school's academic calendar is organized into terms, each introducing a different theme, such as "Exploring the World," which is integrated into classroom activities, field trips, and assemblies. The calendar features key events including a Sports Fest, a Parent General Meeting and Parent Consultation Day, and Literacy Week. It also schedules standard school closures, including a mid-term break in February and the end of Term 2 in late March.

The campus is located in the Katampe District of Abuja and features a library stocked with over 1,000 books, which is situated directly across from the ICT suite. The school also includes a newly established art room for creative projects. Classrooms and facilities are designed to accommodate a small, close-knit student body.

The school offers a range of extracurricular activities on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to help students develop their talents and interests. These activities include Cookery, Gymnastics, Handwriting, Mad Science, Taekwondo, Althra Educative, Arts & Crafts, Football, and Reading Quest. Additionally, students are assigned to one of four school houses: Red Dragon, Green Eagle, Black Panther, or White Stallion.
