The school aims to develop global citizens who are conscious of their rights, responsibilities, and moral character, and who possess the ability to create a positive impact on their environment. It emphasizes the development of global competencies such as tolerance, compassion, social responsibility, and openness to other cultures. The educational approach is guided by the P21 Framework for 21st Century Learning, which focuses on skills necessary for success in life, work, and citizenship.

The school offers a comprehensive academic program divided into three sections: Primaria (Juana de Asbaje, grades 1-6), Secundaria (Alfonso García Robles, grades 7-9), and Bachillerato (Instituto Internacional Octavio Paz, grades 10-12). The high school curriculum culminates in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. Throughout these stages, students develop Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, including communication, social collaboration, self-management, research, and critical thinking.

The school utilizes a hybrid model to support students learning from home and in the classroom. To facilitate digital learning, all students, teachers, and administrators are provided with Google Apps for Education accounts, including access to Classroom, Drive, and Gmail. Additionally, the high school curriculum integrates digital citizenship training to promote safe online practices.

The admissions process requires the submission of an application form, an entrance exam covering language and mathematics, and an interview for successful candidates. Applicants must sign a service contract and provide documentation including a birth certificate, CURP, academic records, proof of address, and, for foreign students, a student visa. Selection criteria prioritize a previous grade point average of 8.0 or higher, a record of no more than six failed subjects, and a minimum B2 proficiency in both Spanish and English.

The school is located on a campus in the Brisas del Jagüey area of Chapala, Jalisco. The facilities include a multi-story building that houses classrooms for primary, secondary, and high school students. The campus previously featured an aquaponics facility and an organic, self-sustaining farm known as "Sierra Farms," which serves as a platform for teaching environmental science and sustainability.
