Teaching approach

The school’s philosophy is grounded in the conviction that secondary education should deliver both character and academic achievement in the same child. It employs a 5+1 pastoral care model that places student wellbeing at the centre of school life. The educational approach is framed by 'Human Technologies,' a lens for thought and action designed to help students become resourceful, resilient, and ethical individuals.

Programmes

The curriculum combines established subjects—such as English, Mathematics, Science, Languages, Humanities, and The Arts—with innovative programmes like Curriculum X, Free Learning, and Deep Learning. Years 7-9 follow a foundational curriculum including a Transitions course, while Years 10-11 offer IGCSE and BTEC courses. Years 12-13 provide four pathways: the IB Diploma, BTEC International Level 3, a hybrid of both, or ASDAN courses.

Outcomes

Graduates consistently achieve strong results in IGCSE, BTEC, and IB Diploma examinations, with IB scores regularly exceeding world averages. Students progress to prestigious universities worldwide to study subjects including Medicine, Law, Economics, and Biomedical Science. Beyond academic qualifications, students can earn the ICHK Transcript, which recognizes their attributes, capabilities, passions, and achievements.
