Iribó School (ADEC)

ADEC is a non-profit association founded in 1982 that promotes a person-centered pedagogy rooted in a Christian vision of life, influenced by the spirit of the Opus Dei. The educational model emphasizes the family as the primary pillar of education, fostering a partnership between parents and teachers. The school aims to form individuals with strong character, integrity, and a commitment to social responsibility through service.

The academic offering includes Olmos Preschool for children aged 3 months to 5 years, and gender-segregated primary and secondary education (grades 1–11) at Iribó School for girls and Yorkín School for boys. The curriculum is bilingual and includes the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Students also benefit from Cambridge English certification (CAE) and specialized support, with over 5,500 personalized student advisories conducted in 2024.

The school reports a 100% bilingual International Baccalaureate (IB) graduation rate. Graduates have demonstrated high academic performance, with Yorkín School ranking first in UCR and TEC admission tests for five consecutive years, and Iribó School consistently placing in the top 10 for university entrance scores over the same period. The admissions process begins with an information request followed by a personal interview to ensure alignment between the family and the school's educational project. For students entering primary school and above, admission tests are required to evaluate academic and emotional readiness. Prospective students may also participate in a "Special Guest" day, where they experience a full day of classes alongside current students.

The school offers various extracurricular activities, including robotics, where it has achieved national recognition. Additionally, the institution organizes "Kids Camp" programs across multiple locations and maintains various clubs for students.
