The school follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, specifically the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP), integrated with Design Thinking pedagogy. The school provides a Center for Learning (C4L) to support student development. St. Mary’s accepts applications for students from Early Education through Grade 8. The admission process requires families to submit an inquiry form to access the online portal, where they can track application components, register for information sessions, and submit required documentation. All students must provide proof of immunizations in accordance with age-based requirements. Financial aid is available for students in Early Kindergarten through Grade 8 and is awarded based on demonstrated need through a partnership with School and Student Services (SSS).

The school operates on a traditional academic calendar, with summer breaks typically occurring in July. Information sessions for prospective families are held throughout the fall and winter months, with dates scheduled between October and January.

The 6.25-acre campus features several specialized facilities, including the Sillers Center, which houses the Thompson Family Early Education Center and a Design Center for hands-on learning. The campus also includes the Bhathal Merage Academic Center, the Bauer Arts Wing, the Purcell Family Science & Technology Wing, and the Green Family Commons gym. Outdoor spaces include the Floriani Family Park, Falcon Field, basketball courts, playgrounds, and the Sillers’ Seeds Garden. The IB Hub serves as a central library and research space, offering resources in multiple languages to support the school's global curriculum.

The school offers a variety of co-curricular activities designed to foster leadership and personal growth, including an Associated Student Body (ASB) for Middle School, a Student Ambassador program for Grade 5 and Middle School students, and various service learning projects. Athletics are a core component of student life, emphasizing hard work, healthy habits, and cooperation. Additionally, students participate in field studies, which provide experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom, such as visiting historical sites or engaging in environmental exploration.
