Admissions
The school welcomes applications for entry, with main intake points at Buckley House (Early Learning Centre), Foundation, and Year 7 at both the Plenty and Ridgeway campuses. Applications require a birth certificate, relevant visa or citizenship documentation, and a non-refundable fee. Priority is given to applicants with family connections, specifically current siblings or children and grandchildren of Old Ivanhoe Grammarian Life Members. For entry outside of Year 7, the process includes an interview, and enrolment is confirmed upon the signing of a Letter of Acceptance and payment of a capital levy.
Calendar
The school operates on a term-based system. During school holiday periods, such as the Term 3 break, libraries at the Ridgeway and Plenty campuses may remain open to support Year 12 students with their final VCE and IB exam preparations.

Ivanhoe Grammar School operates across four campuses: the Ivanhoe Campus (comprising Buckley House for Early Learning to Year 6 and the Ridgeway Campus for Years 7–12), the Plenty Campus in Doreen (Foundation to Year 12), and the University Campus in Macleod (dedicated to Year 9). Rod Fraser served as Principal of Ivanhoe Grammar School from 1996 until his retirement in 2015. Gerard Foley has served at Ivanhoe Grammar School since 2008, holding roles including Head of The Ridgeway Campus and Deputy Principal.
