John Adams High School

The school is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School that fosters a globally-focused, rigorous curriculum. The school offers a comprehensive academic curriculum including English Language Arts, Mathematics (Algebra I/II, Calculus, AP Calculus, AP PreCalculus), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space Science), Social Studies (Economics, Ethnic Studies), and World Languages (French, Arabic). It also provides a Career and Technical Education program and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Magnet program, which includes the IB Diploma Programme.

The school has achieved its highest graduation rates in nearly 20 years. Graduates are prepared for diverse opportunities in local, national, and global communities.

The school provides study tables and tutoring services to support student academic success. Additionally, the staff includes special education paraprofessionals and guidance counselors to assist students with their educational needs.

Prospective students may apply to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Magnet program or as general education students. The school offers prospective student visits, or "shadowing," for 8th-grade students and 9th-10th grade students from other districts who are passing all their classes. These visits can be scheduled as full-day or half-day sessions between October and December.

The campus is located at 808 S. Twyckenham Dr. in South Bend. It includes a library and various classrooms equipped for specialized instruction in subjects such as science and the arts. The school also maintains athletic facilities for its sports teams.

The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including academic clubs like Robotics, Science Olympiad, Model UN, and Debate Club. Students may also participate in arts-focused groups such as Jazz Band, Marching Band, Show Choir, and Drama Club, as well as athletic teams including Ice Hockey, Bowling, and Unified sports. Additional organizations include the African American History Club, Business Professionals of America (BPA), and various language and interest-based clubs.
