Laude El Altillo School

The school aims to form citizens committed to learning, knowledge, and universal values within a global society. The school integrates the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals across its curriculum to promote environmental and social responsibility.

The school offers a trilingual curriculum (Spanish, English, and French) across four stages: Early Years (ages 1-5) using the International Early Years Curriculum; Primary (ages 5-12) using the International Primary Curriculum; Secondary (ages 12-16) integrating the Spanish National Curriculum with the IB Middle Years Programme; and Baccalaureate (ages 16-18) combining the Spanish National Curriculum with the IB Diploma Programme.

The school reports a 100% pass rate in both Selectividad and the IB Diploma Programme. Students consistently achieve high results, with many earning scholarships and placements at prestigious universities globally. Official language certifications are achieved in English and French, with high pass rates in Cambridge C2, DELF B2, and TRINITY Grade 12 exams.

The school provides personalised support through an educational psychologist who diagnoses learning difficulties and reinforces study techniques. Additional wellbeing support includes medical services, university counselling, and peer mentoring. A Gifted and Talented programme offers personalised learning and creative workshops for students with exceptional abilities.

The school accepts applications throughout the year, subject to availability. The process involves an initial enquiry, a virtual or in-person visit, submission of an application form with previous school reports, and an assessment/interview stage. Families receive a written offer upon successful evaluation, followed by a formal enrolment process.

The academic year is divided into three terms, typically running from early September to late June. The calendar includes various bank holidays, seasonal breaks (Christmas, Easter), and school-specific events such as World Cleanup Day, science workshops, university fairs, and graduation ceremonies.

The campus features interactive classrooms, a FabLab (Fabrication Laboratory) with 3D printers and laser cutters, a Jr. Maker Space, science and physics laboratories, and computer rooms. Sports facilities include football pitches and padel/pickleball courts, complemented by a music school, art workshop, canteen, and a dedicated doctor bay. The school also provides a library/reading corner, cooperative work areas, and a sleep room for younger students.

Students participate in a wide range of activities including sports (football, padel, pickleball), music, dance, and art. The school also offers a Gifted and Talented programme in partnership with Talentum, an Eco-School programme, volunteering initiatives, coding, chess, and public speaking. Summer school programmes are also available.
