Admissions
Launceston Grammar is a co-educational day and boarding school that is small by design, with capacity for approximately 300 students on the Junior Campus and 600 on the Senior Campus. Applications are processed in the order received, with priority given to siblings of current students, boarders, and children of alumni. The school encourages families to register interest well in advance of the expected entry year, with main intake years at Early Learning, Prep, and Grades 5, 7, and 10.
Calendar
The school operates on a four-term academic year. The 2026 calendar includes a mid-term break in August, public holidays such as Australia Day, the King’s Birthday, and Recreation Day, and concludes the academic year on 9 December. Senior students participate in TASC TCE written exams in November.

The school operates across two campuses: the Junior Campus in East Launceston and the Senior Campus in Mowbray.
