The Leicester Grammar School Trust is a family of three independent, co-educational day schools based in Great Glen, Leicestershire, serving pupils from age 3 to 18. The Trust provides a range of educational settings, each committed to high levels of academic ambition and pastoral care.

Teaching approach

The Trust is built on a foundation of shared expectations for academic excellence and personal development, fostering a family-oriented environment across its schools. It prioritizes a values-led pastoral approach, ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils through shared leadership, resources, and training. The schools aim to nurture curious and talented children, preparing them for public examinations and future life stages through a supportive and collaborative community.

Programmes

The Trust offers a continuous educational pathway through its three schools: Leicester Grammar Junior School (ages 3–11), LGS Stoneygate (ages 4–16), and Leicester Grammar School (ages 10–18). Each school provides a curriculum designed to prepare pupils for the next stage of their education and public examinations. While Leicester Grammar School and the Junior School are noted for academic success, LGS Stoneygate offers smaller class sizes and individual attention for a wider range of abilities, with many pupils progressing to the LGS Sixth Form for A-levels.
