Applications for the first year are submitted online via the Ministry's "Unica" platform. For the Sports High School, applicants must submit their second-year middle school report card, while the Musical High School requires an entrance exam to verify musical skills. Priority criteria and admission procedures for oversubscribed courses are defined by the School Council.

The school year typically runs from mid-September to early June, divided into two terms ending January 31 and June 6. The calendar includes national holidays, winter and spring breaks, and specific school-determined suspension days. The school also observes several pre-holiday closure dates throughout the year.

The school operates across three locations in Parma: the Scientific High School (Via Toscana 10/A), the Musical High School (Piazza Castelfidardo 7/a), and the Sports High School (Piazzale Sicilia 11).
