Programmes
The school offers a comprehensive curriculum from Nursery through to Senior 6. It is the only school in Scotland to offer both SQA qualifications and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and Career-related programmes. The academic pathway includes a 1:1 device programme from Transitus 1 (Primary 6) onwards, and the school is expanding its vocational offerings to include HNC and NC qualifications.

Admissions
Lomond School welcomes applications for day and boarding pupils at all stages of education throughout the year. The admissions process is supported by the school Registrar, who assists families with initial visits and the transition to the school. The school offers various funding options, including bursaries and scholarships, as well as specific support for military families.
Calendar
The school operates on an Autumn, Spring, and Summer term structure. The academic year typically begins in mid-August and concludes in mid-June, with half-term breaks in October and February, and additional holiday weekends throughout the year. Boarders return to the school on the Sunday evening prior to the start of each term.

About the campus
The campus is located in Helensburgh and features a mix of historic and modern facilities, including the Clarendon building and a purpose-built sports complex. Burnbrae House, the school's boarding facility, is a modern, purpose-built residence offering twin en-suite rooms, common areas, a basement gym, and kitchen facilities for student use. The school also provides a 1:1 device programme for all pupils from Transitus 1 (Primary 6) to Senior 6.
Co-curriculars
The school provides a wide and varied extra-curricular programme, with a strong emphasis on outdoor education, including the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Sports offerings include rugby, hockey, netball, cricket, and sailing, with access to a purpose-built sports complex and AstroTurf pitches. Students also participate in national competitions, such as the National Spaceport competition and the Scottish Islands Peaks Race, which involves offshore sailing and mountain running.
