United World College Maastricht (UWC)

Guided by the UWC mission, the school is committed to building a community free from prejudice and intolerance, emphasizing international and intercultural understanding. The school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 4–11, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) for ages 16–19. The PYP curriculum includes specialist lessons in English and Dutch language acquisition, Physical & Health Education, and Music. The residential programme for DP and CP students includes accommodation, a meal plan, and guidance from residential mentors.

UWC Maastricht welcomes students from over 100 national identities. The admissions process requires an application fee for day students, and the school provides dedicated university and career counselling to assist students with their future pathways. Scholarships are available for eligible students.

The campus features five buildings, including dedicated facilities for the Primary and Secondary schools and three residence halls for 200 boarding students. On-site amenities include an Atrium for performances, soundproofed music rooms, laboratories, a gymnasium, a library, a drama room, and a garden used as a living classroom. The campus is designed with sustainable features, such as a geothermal heat pump system and ventilation that meets Dutch "Frisse Scholen" standards.

Students are encouraged to participate in after-school Community Clubs and a Music School to develop their talents. The school also hosts student conferences, creative workshops, and social impact projects where students are encouraged to take the lead in community initiatives.
