King's Academy

King’s Academy blends an American-style liberal arts and sciences education with Middle Eastern history, traditions, and cultural values. The school aims to develop independent, creative, and responsible thinkers within an ethical community that encourages students of diverse backgrounds to excel and prepare for leadership. Character development is considered as essential as academic achievement, with a focus on fostering self-discipline, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility.

The academic program is grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, offering a curriculum that includes 24 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and the AP Capstone Program. The school serves students in grades 7 and 8 in its Middle School, while the Upper School provides a comprehensive college-preparatory curriculum. Students typically take six to seven classes per semester, with departments covering Communication, Rhetoric and the Literary Arts; History, Religion and Society; STEM; Visual and Performing Arts; and World Languages. Additionally, the school is a founding member of the Global Online Academy, allowing students to pursue specialized interests and modern learning skills.

Approximately 40% of the student body receives need-based financial aid, and the school also offers a merit-based scholarship program for select incoming students in grades 7 and 9.

The 144-acre campus in Madaba, Jordan, features 35 major buildings, including state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, and the HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library, which houses over 56,000 volumes. Athletic facilities include the Saad Rafic Hariri Athletic Center with a semi-Olympic swimming pool, squash, handball, and basketball courts, alongside outdoor football fields and tennis courts. Residential life is supported by nine dormitories where faculty members live in apartments alongside students, and the campus also includes the Abdul Majeed Shoman Auditorium, a multi-faith spiritual center, and the Hess Family Dining Hall.

The co-curricular program is designed to foster character development, leadership, and personal growth. Students participate in a wide range of activities, including athletics, music, painting, dance, theater, and student government.
