Manarat School Kuwait is an international school located in Salmiya that specializes in educating students with learning difficulties from Pre-K through Grade 12. It provides a structured, supportive academic environment designed to help students reach their potential and transition to higher education or vocational pathways.

Teaching approach

The school is dedicated to providing high-quality, student-centered education that empowers students with learning difficulties to become independent, critical thinkers and responsible global citizens. It emphasizes a structured, supportive environment that utilizes Bloom’s Taxonomy to foster analytical and evaluative thinking skills across all grade levels. Instruction is collaborative and life-related, aiming to help students reach their academic potential while promoting social and emotional growth.

Programmes

The school follows an American-based curriculum adapted for students with learning difficulties, covering subjects such as English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, and IT. In secondary school, students are placed in either the Challenge Academic Program (CAP) or the Modified Academic Program (MAP), which utilizes the UK-based ASDAN Award scheme. All students receive mandatory instruction in Arabic language, Islamic studies, and the Holy Qur’an in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.

Outcomes

Students may graduate through two Ministry-approved pathways: a standard high school diploma (Literary or Scientific) or a certificate of completion via the ASDAN Award program. Graduates have demonstrated success in performing on international assessments such as the IELTS, TOEFL, and SAT, and have transitioned to higher education systems globally. The school tracks student performance data to evaluate program effectiveness and support post-secondary transitions.
