Windsor Preparatory School

Windsor aims to inspire a lifelong interest in learning by fostering an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment. The school emphasizes core values of community, character, and excellence, encouraging students to become ethical, curious, and globally-minded citizens. It seeks to empower students to explore their passions and develop the critical thinking skills necessary to act as change-makers in their communities.

The school offers a seamless curriculum progression from Early Years through Grade 12, utilizing the Early Years Foundation Stage, Cambridge International primary curriculum, and U.S.-based College Board standards. The secondary curriculum is interdisciplinary and includes core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Humanities, Sciences, World Languages, and Business. Students in Grades 9-12 engage in advanced coursework, including 16 different Advanced Placement (AP) subjects and Harkness-style seminar discussions.

Graduates from Windsor progress to universities globally, including institutions in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and the National Accreditation and Equivalency Council of The Bahamas (NAECOB). Students are prepared for international benchmarks, including the SAT, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and BGCSEs.

The school maintains a commitment to supporting neurodivergent candidates through dedicated learner support programs. Applications for these services are accepted from September through April.

Windsor School follows a rolling admissions policy, accepting candidates throughout the academic year. The process includes in-person Math and English diagnostic assessments, which are supported by a free, public Math Club held on Saturdays. Families may also participate in classroom observations as part of the application process.

The 2026-2027 academic year begins on August 25, 2026, following new student orientation on August 21. The calendar includes a winter break from mid-December to early January, a spring break from late March to early April, and concludes with graduation on May 29, 2027, followed by the final day of term on June 16.

Windsor operates across three campuses in New Providence: the Little Windsor Campus for ages 18 months to 3 years, a Lower School Campus for Pre-Reception to Year 6, and an Upper School Campus for Grades 6-12. The Upper School features specialized STEM, science, and humanities classrooms, a recording studio, and a dormitory called The Lodge. Athletic facilities include a 25-meter pool, track and field, multiple sports fields, and courts for volleyball, tennis, and basketball.

The school offers a range of club sports and elite athletic programs, including the Albany Golf Academy, which are designed to support collegiate play. Students also participate in signature programs such as the Blue Ocean marine science initiative, music and performing arts, and STEM and business labs. These activities provide students with access to professional mentors and specialized facilities.
