Admissions

About the campus

He previously served as assistant head of school for advancement and communications at Mercersburg Academy and holds degrees from Gettysburg College, Texas State University, and the University of Pennsylvania.

    Charlie Tierney has served in numerous roles at NMH since 1998, including history teacher, coach, dean, and interim head of school. He previously served as head of the Tatnall School and director of studies at St. Stephen’s School in Rome, and holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Teachers College of Columbia University.

    Beatriz Garcia P’09Assistant head for academic programs and dean of faculty

    Beatriz Garcia began her career mentoring educators in Uruguay and taught at Deerfield Academy before joining NMH in 2003. She served as chair of the World Languages Department and assistant dean of faculty before being appointed dean of faculty in 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American literature and a master’s degree in applied linguistics.

    Grant Gonzalez joined NMH in 2008 to teach history and Arabic, and currently leads the school's approach to campus life programming. He previously served as the director of the NMH Lab Program and holds a master’s degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of London.

    Mary McEneany joined NMH in 2019, bringing extensive experience in nonprofit and educational finance, including roles at Hampshire College and UMass Amherst.
