Admissions

PISOTA is a tuition-free public charter school open to all middle school students, with no entrance exams or academic achievement requirements. Enrollment for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades is managed through an Open Enrollment period, followed by a lottery if the number of applicants exceeds available seats. Applications submitted after the Open Enrollment period are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and added to a waitlist if necessary.

About the campus

The campus is located at 95 Catalpa Dr., La Plata, MD, and features a double-door entrance vestibule with key card access.     Mr. Hill was appointed as Assistant Principal of PISOTA, effective July 1, 2025. He has over 20 years of experience in arts education and administration, previously serving as an assistant principal at Dr. Thomas L. Higdon Elementary School and a visual arts teacher. He holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from Trinity University.
