Co-curriculars

The school also offers the Student Global Leadership Institute (SGLI) and the PUEO program. Athletics are considered an extension of the classroom, with sports offerings including air riflery, baseball, basketball, bowling, canoe paddling, cheerleading, cross country, flag football, football, golf, judo, kayaking, precision air riflery, sailing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.

    Mike LathamPresident

    Michael E. Latham, a 1986 graduate of Punahou, became the 17th president of the school on July 1, 2019. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean at Grinnell College and as Dean of Fordham University’s College at Rose Hill.

    Dr. Todd Chow-Hoy became the Junior School principal in July 2021. He has over two decades of experience at Punahou, having served as a mathematics teacher, department chair, team leader, and assistant principal.

  • Gustavo CarreraAcademy Principal

    Gustavo Carrera became the Academy Principal in 2022. He previously served as Head of the Upper School at Shore Country Day School and held various leadership roles at Buckingham Browne and Nichols School, including high school history and social sciences department head.
