Rajkumar College Raipur

Established in 1882, the school operates under the motto “Swadeshe Pujyate Raja, Vidwan Sarvatra Pujyate,” meaning “A Raja is honoured in his own country, a learned man throughout the world.” It aims to provide quality education while helping students discover their innate capabilities and set lifelong goals. The institution emphasizes both curriculum and extra-curricular activities as the foundation of its academic structure, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging and a strong focus on discipline.

The school offers education in Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams. It is affiliated with the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, and prepares students for the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) examinations. The academic year is divided into two terms: the first from July to the Puja vacation, and the second from the end of the Puja vacation through April.

The school reports consistent 100% pass results in both the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) examinations. It emphasizes the development of innate capabilities and the fulfillment of lifelong goals for its students.

The school is situated on a sprawling 125-acre campus in the heart of Raipur. Facilities include a 30-bedded hospital with resident medical staff, the Sarangarh Dining Hall serving over 600 students, and a guest house, Utkal Bhawan. Sports infrastructure features two swimming pools (including the international-standard Nayagarh Pool), wooden squash and badminton courts, a full-sized green turfed cricket field, multiple football, hockey, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, an equestrian area, an indoor shooting range, and an air-conditioned gymnasium. Boarding is provided in separate houses for boys and girls, including the Indira Gandhi Boarding House and Priyadarshini Girls Boarding House for girls, and the Rajkumar College Boarding House, Balram Das Boarding House, and Rajendra Das Boarding House for boys.
