Ranum Efterskole College is an independent school that emphasizes life education, popular enlightenment, and democratic education. The school offers 9th and 10th-grade programmes, incorporating both Danish and international curricula such as Cambridge IGCSE. Academic subjects are taught using a "progressive levelling" system, where students are divided into 3-4 levels that allow for flexibility throughout the year. The curriculum is enriched by "Profile" and "Culture" subjects, which involve hands-on activities and international travel to destinations worldwide.

The school year spans 43 weeks and concludes with a "Dream Festival." The 29,500m2 campus functions as a small town divided into four main residential buildings: Kærhuset, Seminariehuset, Lien, and Ranumhus. On-site facilities include 55 classrooms, six science rooms, a cinema, four music rooms, two dance studios, and specialized workshops for design, ceramics, and media. Sports infrastructure is extensive, featuring four gyms, a climbing wall, beach volleyball courts, a sports center with three halls, and dedicated wakeboarding and maritime facilities at Rønbjerg harbour.

Students have access to a wide range of evening clubs and leisure activities, including sports, creative workshops, and e-sports. Facilities support diverse interests such as music, dance, ceramics, design, and media production. The school also hosts joint events like lectures and theme parties to foster community, and students are encouraged to initiate new clubs and activities.
