Founded in 1829, the school is guided by the motto 'Spectemur Agendo' and a 197-year legacy of tradition. The school also houses an air-conditioned media and IT centre with 40 computers, and classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards, projectors, and e-beams. Boarding is provided in three houses: De Villiers House for Grade 8, Michaelis House for Grade 9, and Rosedale House for Grades 10-12.
