ASFM provides a rigorous academic program aligned with U.S. independent school standards, spanning from nursery school through 12th grade. The curriculum includes a robust Advanced Placement (AP) program with 24 distinct courses. Students follow pathways leading to a U.S. diploma, a Mexican Bachillerato, or an AP Capstone Diploma.

ASFM graduates earn both a U.S. high school diploma and a Mexican Bachillerato, with the option for an Advanced Placement (AP) Capstone Diploma. The school offers 24 AP courses, and graduates matriculate to top universities throughout North America and the world. Over 93% of students participate in community service, contributing over 21,000 hours annually.

The school utilizes a Personalized Learning Time (PLT) block in the daily schedule to provide both support and enrichment interventions. Additionally, students work with mentor teachers through the MAPPS program to build and reinforce essential skills and dispositions. Support services are overseen by dedicated directors and staff to ensure students meet their personal best.

Applications for the 2026-2027 school year open in September 2025 for various grade levels.

The school operates on a Monday through Friday schedule. Preschool (Nursery-PK) runs from 7:45 am to 1:00 pm, while Elementary (K-5) runs from 7:45 am to 2:45 pm. Middle and High School students attend from 7:50 am to 2:45 pm.

Located in the Huasteca canyon in Santa Catarina, the 212,000-square-meter campus features extensive green spaces, including 945 trees and 33,000 square meters of grass. Academic and extracurricular facilities include the Guillermo Zambrano Auditorium, dedicated sports fields for elementary and MSHS teams, and two libraries—the Elementary Library and the MSHS Library—housing over 53,000 items combined. The campus also maintains specialized technology resources to support its BYOD laptop program.

ASFM offers a robust extended learning program with 35 after-school activities, in which 95% of students participate. Notable programs include Destination Imagination, the MSHS Ambassador Program, the Multicultural Club, a Business Club for high schoolers, and various student organizations like the National Honor Society (NHS). The school also hosts athletic tournaments, theatre productions, and community service initiatives.
