It emphasizes a culture of clarity, consistency, and rigor, where teachers act as designers of learning and stewards of character. The school promotes the development of IB learner profile attributes, including being knowledgeable, principled, balanced, inquiring, caring, reflective, and open-minded.

The school offers a continuum of International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The Early Years Programme utilizes a play-based approach to develop cognitive, social, and physical skills. For High School, the school offers the Indonesian National Curriculum (SMA) and is currently applying for accreditation to offer the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP). Literacy and numeracy are embedded across all disciplines.

Amman Academy is an inclusive institution that provides support for students with diverse abilities and needs. A dedicated Learning Support Team, including special educational needs (SEN) teachers and counselors, collaborates with families to provide necessary resources and accommodations. Prospective students with special needs undergo an assessment process to ensure the school can provide the appropriate support for their success.

Amman Academy is an inclusive school serving children aged 3–18 who are dependants of employees, contractors, or business partners of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara residing in the Townsite Housing. The enrollment process involves interviews with classroom teachers and principals, and prospective students must provide previous school reports. For students with special needs, the school requires disclosure of any Individual Education Plan (IEP) or prior accommodations to facilitate an assessment by the school counselor or therapist team.

The school operates on a standard academic year, with a yearly overview provided for the 2026-27 period. The campus is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 to 16:30, and Friday from 7:30 to 12:00.

In January 2024, the school moved into a brand-new campus featuring world-class facilities designed to support inquiry and collaboration. The schoolwide library is a multi-level space providing resources for research and reading, with dedicated areas for different age groups and community access hours. The campus also supports physical education, sports, and visual and performing arts programmes.

The school offers a variety of activities, including a Student Representative Council (SRC) that organizes events such as basketball tournaments and community service initiatives. Students participate in sports, including soccer, and arts festivals that showcase work from Early Years through High School. Community service is a core component of school life, with students collaborating on local literacy projects.
