About the campus

The campus is located just south of Seoul and consists of three buildings featuring a blend of traditional Korean and modern architecture. Facilities include a swimming pool with locker rooms, three gyms, three playgrounds, a state-of-the-art auditorium, an atrium, music and band rooms, and fully equipped science labs. The school also maintains modern classrooms and libraries for its various school divisions.

    Edward Ben AdamsFounder

    Mr. Edward Ben Adams is the founder of Seoul International School. He was the principal and headmaster from 1973 to 2002 and has been overseeing the operations of the school as founder and manager from 2003 to the present.

    Dr. Gerhard has been with SIS since 2015 and is a committed international educator who has held teaching and leadership positions in Kuwait, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Burma, Sierra Leone, and Korea. He has served as a principal in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools and as a Director of Schools.

    Mr. Gohde has been part of SIS since 2022. He has had the pleasure of teaching and leading middle schools in the United States, Taiwan, Jordan, Thailand, Colombia, and El Salvador.

    Mr. DelVecchio joined SIS in 2022. His background includes leadership roles at international schools in Shanghai and Hong Kong, as well as ten years of experience teaching middle and high school mathematics.

    Ms. Hagen joined SIS in 2022 and became the ES/MS Assistant Principal in 2023. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Zoology and Inquiry Education, and previously served in leadership roles including MYP Coordinator and Adjunct Professor.
