Silveroaks Montessori School

Silveroaks Montessori School is committed to inclusivity and the celebration of individual uniqueness, fostering a community that embraces diversity. The educational approach integrates Montessori principles—such as self-directed learning, mixed-age groupings, and the use of a prepared environment—with the academic rigor of the Cambridge International curriculum to nurture the whole child.

The school offers a continuous educational journey starting with a Toddler programme (18 months–3 years) and progressing through Montessori-based stages to the Cambridge curriculum. Middle school (Grades 7–9) covers English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Global Perspectives, while high school (Grades 10–12) prepares students for IGCSE and AS Level qualifications with subjects including Physical Sciences, Economics, and Business Studies. The curriculum also incorporates community work and sustainability projects to foster environmental stewardship.

The school provides structured support to assist students in transitioning between educational stages, particularly when moving from the Montessori method to the Cambridge curriculum in Grade 7. Additionally, staff offer personalized guidance regarding university entrance requirements to help students meet their academic and career goals.

The admissions process begins with an online application or the submission of a registration form. Eligible candidates are invited for an interview, after which selected applicants must submit all required documentation and complete the fee payment to finalize enrollment.

The school operates on a standard academic calendar, with specific events and term dates available through the school's administrative office. An on-site Cambridge Exam Centre is scheduled to open in 2025, with the first sitting for private candidates occurring in October-November.

Located on a 324-hectare working farm in Heidelberg, the campus utilizes its natural setting to provide students with opportunities for environmental exploration and stewardship. The school is preparing to launch an accredited Cambridge Assessment International Education examination centre in 2025 to support its high school students and private candidates.
