Sokrates International High School

The school's educational philosophy is centered on the "4K" model, which focuses on communication, critical thinking, cooperation, and creativity. It aims to foster an inspiring, interdisciplinary, and holistic learning environment that prepares students for global challenges while promoting respect, multiculturalism, and fluency in foreign languages.

The school implements the international Cambridge Primary curriculum alongside the Polish national curriculum. The academic program spans preschool education (zerówka), early school education (grades 1–3), and upper primary education (grades 4–8). The curriculum covers a broad range of subjects, including Polish, English, Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, History, Civics (WOS), Ethics, Art, Music, and Physical Education.

Graduating eighth-grade students are celebrated with an annual eighth-grader ball (Bal ósmoklasisty) to mark the completion of their primary education. Students also achieve academic success in external competitions, such as reaching the finals of the national mathematics competition "Od Szkolniaka do Żaka."

The school provides dedicated learning support through a specialist team consisting of a school psychologist, a school pedagogist, a special education teacher (pedagog specjalny), and a speech therapist (logopeda). This team assists students with emotional development, speech therapy, and specialized learning needs, while also offering guidance to parents on supporting children's emotional well-being.

Admissions are processed through an electronic recruitment form available on the school's website, with registration open for the 2026/2027, 2027/2028, and 2028/2029 school years. Parents can apply for entry into the "Zerówka" (preschool/kindergarten) class or any primary grade from class 1 through class 8. The application questionnaire collects personal details, native and secondary language skills, health notes, and any existing psychological or pedagogical opinions.

The school calendar features key annual milestones, including the eighth-grader ball on June 19, 2026, and the official end of the school year on June 30, 2026. It also includes seasonal events, such as classroom Advent calendar activities and class Christmas Eve (Wigilia Klasowa) celebrations in December.

The school campus is located at ul. J.H. Dąbrowskiego 8 in Bydgoszcz. The facilities include a school gym (sala gimnastyczna) used for physical education, sports activities, and major school assemblies and celebrations.

The school provides a wide array of extracurricular activities to develop students' passions. Creative and performing arts options include theater games, Kabarecik Sokratesik, Teatr Kameleon, modern dance, hip-hop, watercolor and acrylic painting, Cambridge Art & Design, guitar, keyboard, mix and mastering, and a vocal group. Physical and technical activities include corrective gymnastics, Kodo Master, and a competitive basketball team (Basket Team) that participates in regional and national tournaments.
