Springdale Preparatory School

Springdale Prep aims to nurture and challenge students to become global citizens, blending the perspectives of its international student body with a history of producing curious, creative, and critical thinkers. The school offers over 130 classes across grades 6–12, featuring a 7:1 student-to-teacher ratio and small class sizes, with an average of 11 students in the Upper School and 6 in the Middle School. The academic pathway includes electives, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Dual Enrollment, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. Specialized offerings include the World Foreign Language (WFL) Chinese Educational Program and a range of subjects such as STEM, humanities, visual and performing arts, and Latin.

The school employs a math resource specialist and utilizes differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Faculty members are experienced in using modified texts, scaffolded activities, and multisensory approaches to support students. Additionally, a school nurse provides medical care, screenings, and counseling for students.

Located on over 52 acres of rolling countryside in Northern Maryland, the campus features historic buildings that house both day and boarding students. The facilities include classrooms, a library with print and electronic resources, and various athletic spaces. The campus is maintained by a dedicated facilities team that oversees security, grounds, and building operations.
