Montessori International College (MIC) is an independent, non-denominational school on the Sunshine Coast that provides a progressive, child-centred Montessori education. The secondary curriculum is divided into the Land and Community Program (Years 7–8), the Local Integrated Studies Program (Years 9–10), and the Future Pathways Program (Years 11–12), which includes opportunities for students to design and deliver Montessori+ programs.

About the campus

Located on 22 hectares of bushland in Forest Glen, the campus features eco-friendly, purposefully designed learning spaces. The grounds support a variety of activities, including specialist areas for visual arts, music, performing arts, and health and physical education. The school also maintains an outdoor learning environment to facilitate engagement with nature.

Co-curriculars

Adolescents in the Year 7–12 program participate in a wide range of creative and physical experiences through clubs and teams, with no try-outs required. Physical activities include surfing, volleyball, soccer, swimming, cross-country, cricket, mountain biking, disc golf, sailing, taekwondo, archery, rock climbing, yoga, and dance. Creative and academic offerings include drama, music, cooking, film and TV, pottery, digital design, robotics, virtual reality, chess, book club, game coding, creative writing, orienteering, and debating.
