The school is founded on the belief that no child is unteachable and aims to produce well-educated, disciplined, and well-adjusted individuals. Its educational methodology is child-oriented, focusing on the affective, psychomotor, and cognitive domains to develop students' innate abilities. The school's motto, "Learn, Live and Lead," emphasizes the development of virtues such as integrity, self-reliance, and patriotism.

The secondary curriculum integrates Nigerian and British standards, covering subjects across Mathematics, Science, Business Studies, Humanities, Vocational Studies, and Languages. Students are prepared for examinations including the JSCE, SSCE, UTME, IGCSE, SAT, and TOEFL. The academic programme is supported by practical sessions, excursions, and a focus on modern technology and entrepreneurship.

The school reports high success rates in national and international examinations, including 90% credit passes in the 2025 WASSCE and 100% in the 2025 JAMB UTME. Students have achieved recognition in various competitions, including the International Geography Olympiad, the ASEAN+3 Junior Science Olympiad, and the International Young Physicist Tournament. Graduates are prepared for entry into both Nigerian and foreign higher institutions.

The school employs a dedicated Guidance and Counseling department that provides individual and group counseling to support students' social, educational, and emotional development. Counselors conduct orientation programmes for new students, administer vocational interest tests, and provide interventions for students with academic challenges. Counseling is a formal subject taught weekly to all classes from JS1 to SS3.

Admission is open to students aged 10 and above for entry into Basic 7. The process involves competitive written and oral examinations, with application forms available online or in paper format. The school maintains a policy that allows for professional discretion by the Principal regarding age requirements.

The academic year is divided into three terms. The 2025/2026 session begins in September, with boarding students resuming on September 14th and day students on September 15th. The calendar includes scheduled events such as a mid-term break in October, an Inter-House Sports Competition in November, and a Christmas vacation in December.

The 65-acre campus features boarding houses for approximately 1,500 students and extensive academic facilities, including a library with two reading rooms. Specialized laboratories are provided for chemistry, physics, biology, agricultural science, foods and nutrition, language, electronics, and computing. The school also maintains an agricultural unit with a crop farm, poultry, piggery, and livestock for practical learning.

The school offers a wide range of activities, including horse riding, swimming, and farming. Students participate in clubs and societies such as the press club, drama, and literary and debating groups. Additionally, there is a comprehensive skills acquisition programme covering areas like barbing, photography, bead making, hat making, and fabric design.
